Congratulations to the Hayfield Elementary School website and website curators Ms. Melinda Snyder and Ms. Lisa Warden. The Hayfield Elementary website was one of the three FCPS elementary school websites to be recognized as 'Best of the Web' for 2021.

The Best of the Web Awards annually recognizes three elementary schools, one middle school, one secondary or high school, and one special center or academy.

Below is the write-up from the FCPS news release.

Melinda Snyder and Lisa Warden work as a powerful team. Together they produced 30 exciting features this school year, including photo stories about school spirit days and Read Across America week. They created a school events page with unique filters for spirit days, PTA meetings, and testing dates, offering parents an opportunity to subscribe and receive notifications to their mobile devices. In-depth grade-level teams information is presented. For example, the sixth-grade team webpage, includes a team photo, a welcome video, contact information for each teacher, and links to the school supplies list and FCPS curriculum resources.

Members of the central office web team and one of the FCPS photographers surprised Ms. Snyder and Ms. Warden at the school, where she was presented with a certificate and a crystal glass trophy. At the monthly school curator's webchat, the Hayfield Elementary School website was proudly displayed and Ms. Snyder and Ms. Warden were formally recognized in front of many of her FCPS school curator colleagues.

Congratulations, Ms. Snyder and Ms. Warden!
